How do I activate my cancellation guarantee?
Only persons who have taken out cancellation insurance and who meet the conditions below may request a full refund of their registration fee upon presentation of supporting documentation (less administrative fees, the cost of the insurance and any options already used).
This warranty covers the following cases:
- the participant is forced to cancel their participation for medical reasons (accident, serious illness, inability to run or walk, pregnancy). The medical reason must be proven by means of a document issued by a competent authority stating that running or walking is contraindicated.
- the participant is forced to cancel their participation for professional reasons (business trip, mobilisation, change of schedule). The professional reason must be proven by means of a supporting document issued by the employer.
- the participant is forced to cancel their participation due to a birth that took place within ten days prior to the event or is expected within ten days following the event. The birth or expected birth must be proven by means of a birth certificate or medical certificate.
- the participant is forced to cancel their participation due to a death in their family that occurred within ten days prior to the event. The death must be proven by means of a death certificate.
- the participant is forced to cancel their participation because they have been summoned to serve as a juror in a criminal court. This must be proven by means of the official summons.
- any cancellation of the event, including in cases of force majeure. Force majeure shall be deemed to include any failure (refusal, withdrawal) to grant the administrative authorisation necessary for the organisation of the event, any fire, flood, earthquake, storm and, more generally, any natural disaster, epidemic, pandemic (e.g. Covid-19), attack, war or any other event usually considered to be force majeure by case law.
For those who have taken out cancellation insurance and wish to cancel their registration, the request must be made directly on the participant dashboard.
The refund request must be received no later than 5 days after the event.
Requests will be processed within one month of the event.
